About the Harlequin

Greetings fellow inmate of the world!

I’m the Oldschool Harlequin! Also known as Jack. I promote madness, chaos and silliness in all its forms! Isn’t that great?! I mean, who doesn’t want to be insane at least once in their life?!

I’m something of a nerd, a gamer, a writer, a poet, a troll and a maniac all in a neat little 5’4 package of British awesomeness (Or not?). I’m going to use this page to post some of my writing, my random ramblings and maybe some photos if you’re unlucky.

This blog is a haven for my creativity. A place to truly and finally be myself.  It’s my insane asylum, my happy place, my straitjacket.

I write of things both nightmarish and wondrous. I write of things that can mesmerize and traumatize. I write of things both good and evil. I write of the things in my mind, the outlandish realm that resides in my head. The land shifts and warps at every moment of the day, revealing further horrors and oddities. You never know what i could unleash one day from the next.

Say hi if you want. But bring a cheese sandwich! I love those!

Have a crazy day!

Ever blog anything about the time-traveler theme of the time-traveler who gets stuck in the asylum?

  6. Hi Jack, thanks for clicking the follow button on pensitivity101. Welcome aboard! There’s a pretty mixed bag of stuff here, so hopefully you’ll find something to amuse, interest, or tempt your palette.
I love to hear readers views, so please add a comment if you so wish. Cheers!

Great work and sense of humour. Thank you for your like on my post.

  8. It’s always difficult starting out and can be a little overwhelming, especially since I’m still trying to work out how to drive the computer. But that is half the fun. Meeting interesting people along the way makes it worth while. Really enjoy your work. Thanks for liking my post.

Oh, you are quite right my friend. Folks around here tend to be very nice so never be too shy to ask for advice. It’s a community after all!

Thank you kindly and you are quite welcome!

Wow, I like the theme of your blog! I don’t know if I want to be an inmate but I’ll definitely be a visitor lol.

Hey TY for the visit and support, your twisted brother, I love it!

  12. Poetic Cultivation says:

Jack, love what your doing. I like the darker fun folks, hehe. Thanks for stopping by and the fellow support!

Great blog. Strange it might seem, but you lighten my mood. 🙂

  14. I love your creativity! Awesome blog!

  15. I would like to follow your blog but I am a little afraid of clowns, mimes, people-acting-like-statues, the Blue Man Group, and other painted people. I like your idea of taking life a bit lightly and perhaps somewhat humorous but I am wondering how often your blog shows you “painted”. Just being honest…

    • Osharlequin says:

If I’m honest, I’m painted up very rarely. In fact right now, I don’t have the means to do it. You’re quite safe my friend. Thank you either way!

      • Okay, I will put on my brave, big girl pants and try it out! Hahaha!

        Welcome to the asylum!

      • Speaking of Asylums, today on my roadtrip home I went into Philadelphia and visited Eastern State Penitentiary. It was closed to the public because of COVID-19 but I walked the entire perimeter and tried to see a bit inside from the one little doorway that remains open. Men were inside working. I wanted to go in so badly. This is one of my passions, abandoned buildings, history, asylums,….

      • Osharlequin says:

Oh wow! I’ve seen shows about that place. Primarily ghost-related, but a couple historical ones. You’re very lucky to have it nearby. That’s a fascinating passion to have my friend!
