Hello there inmates!

Remember me? It seems like it’s been a while since I posted anything. Ok, it’s only been half a week or so, but it feels quite a bit longer. Yet again, sorry about that. I’ve been very busy with a new job you see. Oh, the joys of capitalism eh? I’m still working on a Daetrolos piece and several Asylum Mythos pieces, so watch out for those. I’ve also began devising a new poem, which I should have ready and posted by the end of the week too.

Anyway, today I thought I’d respond to an award that I was nominated for a few days ago. This award is the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award. Quite a joyous and pleasant sounding award no? I was nominated for this by the ever-laudable Sourceror, a blogger I happen to enjoy reading very much. Thank you very much Sourceror for thinking of me, as always it means a lot. Loving the Facebook page, by the way!

Right, now for the award itself! It’s a relatively simple one this time, no long questions or eccentric facts about oneself. You simply have to nominate 14 other bloggers and post links to their blogs. You see, the idea of this award is to give a little thank you to those fellow bloggers who regularly view, like and comment on you blog. So yes, even if you don’t do awards, consider this a personal thank you to yourselves for being such great little inmates!

The specific rules are as follows:
1. The nominee shall display the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award logo on his/her blog.
2. The nominee shall nominate 14 bloggers s/he admires, over a period of 7 days, all at once or little by little, by linking to their blogs and informing them about it.

I think I’m going to simply nominate all of my allotted nominees all at once, because I feel I will simply forget if I try to do it bit by bit. So here goes, these are my nominees!

So there you go! Congratulations to all of my nominees, you all deserve the exposure. Thank you to all of you who happen to read this! I hope that you will continue to support my little menagerie of madness here at WorldofHarley. Thank you once again! Until next time…

Have a strikingly crazy day inmates!

A true romance,
Blossoming in the summer,
Braving the winter,
Flourishing in the spring,
A picture of passion,
A fine target,
The shotgun is cocked.

A touch of ire,
A whisper of infidelity,
A glimmer of adultery,
All are pulls of the trigger,
A pair of hearts are the targets,
Lined up to be executed,
A true romance no more.

A quarrel,
A kiss,
A flash,
Then silence,
The burst ribcage of love,
And heart-shaped gore,
Are all that remain.

Shotgun

Get me to the emergency room,
There’s venom in my veins,
It courses,
Seething with every heartbeat,
Bubbling,
Effervescent,
The venom is in my blood,
And my blood is the venom.

Cut me with your dirty looks and superfluous words,
Blood will spurt out,
Taking to the air like a lunging beast,
You’ll be drenched in hatred,
In bitterness,
In mania,
The venom will take hold,
And you’ll become as me.

Bleeding, but enduring.
Rancorous, but grounded.
A Human, but a monster.

Venom

Stooped low upon a lofty throne,
A necromantic monarch,
Shrieks in fury,
Such undying hatred washes over his bones,
The azure moon calms him not one drop,
The living remain alive,
And the dead remain below.

With an incensed scream,
He calls upon his legions,
Rotting knights and fetid footmen,
Shadowy beasts and mad spirits,
Rusted iron and filthy nails,
Anguished moans and eerie corpse-lights,
Driven onward by their dead liege.

Compelled by a rage that never dies,
The dead legions advance,
Marching under the moon,
Fracturing defenses under the moon,
Slaughtering innocents under the moon,
The dead are now unrivaled,
And the living are no more.

A decomposing monarch has his victory,
The nefarious King of Scythes,
Do you hear him coming for you?

King

Sing thy songs of joy,
Even as poverty rears its ugly head,
Sing thy canticles of generosity,
Even as the stricken grieve for their dead,
Sing thy hymns of justice,
Even as monsters bathe in red.

Turn a blind eye,
And sing thy songs of praise,
Ignore the cries,
And sing thy songs of praise,
Turn your nose up,
And sing thy songs of praise,
Distrust thy neighbor,
And sing thy songs of lies.

Join your choir,
Bigots and zealots,
Hypocrites and liars,
Faithful and pure sheep,
Sing thy songs of praise,
And follow your good shepherd,
Even if he too may be lost.

Hello inmates!

And here’s the second random idea that I’ve had recently. I’m not sure what I think of these ideas right now, but who knows, I may flesh them out.

“The three legendary swords, once thought to be the saviors of the world, have been revealed to be the greatest threats to all life on this planet.

One, Cataclysm, wants to wreath the world in flame and cleave it in twain with the power of the elements.
One, Enigma, wishes to reduce the world to a crystalline void, devoid of life, where only madness survives.
One, Factory, seeks to choke all life with myriad poisons and diseases, darkening the skies with imperceptible death.

The unwitting (and indeed unwilling) wielders of these blades are going to destroy each other, our world and everything we hold dear in a grand conflict!

We cannot let them. We must stop them!”

That’s it for my second idea. Let me know what you think of both of these random ideas. I know they’re pretty bare-bones, but there you go!

Have a very crazy day inmates!

Hello inmates!

Ok, so I didn’t get this posted when I intended to at all. Here goes, finally:

“What if I told you there were three groups of beings in this world superior to us. Living and fighting in secrecy.

One to protect us.
One to subjugate us.
One to wipe us out.

We call them the Exarchs, the Autarchs and the God-Machines.”

That’s your first random idea that I mentioned. Took me quite some time to get that done, sorry about that.

Have you all have a very crazy day!

Good day inmates!

I hope you’re all having a great day. Oh, and happy belated Independence Day to any Americans who happen to read this! It’s been a few days since I posted anything and I’m sorry about that. Work has pretty much worn me out, so i haven’t had much, if any, writing time. So I’m sorry about that. I’ll try to get on track in the coming week. I have Daetrolos piece in the works, as well as a poem. I also have several Asylum Mythos pieces in the works as well. I’ve been pretty much working simultaneously on three of them. So I suppose watch out for those soon!

With all of that said, I have been getting lots of random ideas recently. A job where you’re on your most of the day helps. I can sort of daydream while still getting all of my work done. It’s a really good deal, to be honest. If only I could listen to music as well, I would be getting inspiration left, right and center! Over the course of tonight, I’m going to post about a couple of the ideas that I’ve had in the last week or so. Mostly just for a change, but also to see what my fellow bloglings think of them.

So, there was another thing I wanted to ask in the post. How do all you get your inspiration? What influences your ideas? Are you inspired by music? Or things you see perhaps? I’d really love to hear from you all!

Until later, have a very crazy inmates!

Good day inmates!

It’s summer time finally! The sun is beaming down (occasionally), the sky is ever-blue and the island I live on is full of visitors. Oh yes, summer! The time of year for music festivals, trips to the beach, road trips along sweltering roads and wonderful parties at sunset. The time of stargazing and sunbathing. It’s my favorite time of year, believe it or not. I wanted to post another chapter of the Harlequins writing music, but I thought it would be fun to do it a bit differently this time. We’re here to celebrate the summer after all!

So yes! This is the “Summer Special” of the Harlequins writing music! Let’s all rejoice and party and all that! I’m going to post some summery songs that I may write with sometimes. I find that my productivity goes up noticeably during hot weather, it just makes me feel more energetic and creative. Since this is a special, I’m not too bothered about posting songs by artists that I have posted in the previous chapters of writing music. Some bands have dark depressing tunes, while still having energetic ‘party-esque’ summer numbers. These songs will represent the innate nature of summer. Some will be high tempo beach party songs, some may be spirited and optimistic holiday anthems, while others may be slower watching-over-a-sunset tunes. Let’s see what we get eh?

Now, let us delve into the musical minds of aestival artists the world over!

The Offspring – Want You Bad

Goldfinger – Superman

Koda – Shattered

So there we go! That’s it for our celebration of the summer months. I hope you’ve enjoyed this special edition of the Harlequins writing music! I feel that each of these songs is quite summery, you can’t really have summer music without at least one Blink 182 or Offspring song eh? Give each of these bands a try if you haven’t already, you shan’t be disappointed! Anyway, I hope each and everyone one of you out there is having a wonderful summer! I intend to! Best keep those tans topped up right?!

Until next time, have a very crazy day inmates!
