Hello there inmates!
Well, I’ve been away from the asylum for a little while now. You may or may not have noticed that I haven’t posted anything in what seems like an age. Well, it certainly feels like an age to me anyway. I have missed the asylum and the blog, that’s for sure!
Well, you see, I have been moving into a new flat with Lee recently. It’s been a long time coming really and we’re both very happy about it. It feels so uplifting and grand to finally be living with Lee, it’s really quite special. It’s a great little place that is just the right size for us. We’re both working all the time as well, so we don’t get a huge amount of free time either. It’s tiring, but it’s worth it. As we have just moved into a new place, we do not currently have internet. We’re in the process of rectifying that, but it will take some time as you can imagine.
All of these things add up to the lack of blogging time. I’m only able to post this from my parents house. I don’t really want to make a habit of this, since I feel guilty about it really. However, I have managed to get some writing down, between days off and break times. I have several writings and poems ready for posting already. I’m not sure exactly when they will be posted but it shall be soon. I may use the parents laptop to post one soon though, we shall see.
So yes, I simply wanted to give my beloved inmates something of an update to what’s been going on. WorldofHarley is very much still alive and the madness shall resume in earnest presently! I hope you’ve all been very abnormal in my absence!

Hello there inmates!
Remember me? It seems like it’s been a while since I posted anything. Ok, it’s only been half a week or so, but it feels quite a bit longer. Yet again, sorry about that. I’ve been very busy with a new job you see. Oh, the joys of capitalism eh? I’m still working on a Daetrolos piece and several Asylum Mythos pieces, so watch out for those. I’ve also began devising a new poem, which I should have ready and posted by the end of the week too.
Anyway, today I thought I’d respond to an award that I was nominated for a few days ago. This award is the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award. Quite a joyous and pleasant sounding award no? I was nominated for this by the ever-laudable Sourceror, a blogger I happen to enjoy reading very much. Thank you very much Sourceror for thinking of me, as always it means a lot. Loving the Facebook page, by the way!
Right, now for the award itself! It’s a relatively simple one this time, no long questions or eccentric facts about oneself. You simply have to nominate 14 other bloggers and post links to their blogs. You see, the idea of this award is to give a little thank you to those fellow bloggers who regularly view, like and comment on you blog. Time to celebrate? Not quite. It turns out today, the 16th of May, is the anniversary for WorldofHarley. This made me laugh a little bit. I guess I’m quite easy to amuse really. You see, I opened my WordPress account on this day last year, but I didn’t actually write my first, slightly dull update until October. I suppose that it’s a little bit of a non-anniversary for me. So yes, thank you WordPress for reminding me when I spawned WorldofHarley, but I fear you may be slightly off. Sort of.

Hope you’re all having a gorgeously crazy day! This is just going to be a short little note about something that made me smile. The other day I posted my most recent poem, titled “Moonlight“. I’ve been quite happy with the response to it so far, thank you all very kindly for taking the time to read it. I hope you enjoyed it!
That is not what I am writing this post for however. Moonlight was my 100th post, so I felt that it was worth enshrining that fact in a post. I’m rather proud of this fact, to be quite honest with you. I never expected to get this far, but thanks to all of you WordPress people I have. I doff my hat to you as always!
Clearly, I’m not stopping there. Expect more madness! Oh yes, expect much more madness! I have two more poems in the works right now. Expect one of them later on tonight, in fact. I also have another piece about the mysterious “Asylum Mythos” on its way as well. Not to mention the fact I still have an award from my friend Becky to get finished! Yes, I have a number of pieces planned already, the asylum shall grow!

I hope you are all having a great day! I have quite a strange subject today, in that i’m not entirely sure what point i’m trying to make with it. I fear this post is going to be something of a ramble from me. Awfully sorry about that. Haha!
WorldofHarley has been going for a good few months now and i’m really quite proud of the blogs progress so far (Thanks entirely to my wonderful inmate followers). I’m actually coming up to 70 posts now, amazingly. I’m enjoying it immensely and i’d like to think that i’m entertaining people and, with any luck, making them think too. I’m profoundly happy with the reception the WordPress community has given to my work so far. have far more to give though, i promise you that!
However, that is not what i was actually going to talk about today. You see, i was looking at my blog earlier on and something irks me slightly. I can’t really stand the theme i’m using any more. I don’t feel it strictly feels right more. It looks more “street” than “insane”. I want something that fits my crazy and dark style. I’m not sure if I’ve just gotten bored of the appearance or my intentions about the blog have changed. Perhaps i saw someone with the same theme? I forget to be honest. Anyway this is all besides the point. The point i am trying to make is i feel that i need a change. I need a new theme.
I’m not entirely sure what i’m looking for either. Something with the same functionality as my current theme, just with a different look. I want something dark, not necessarily black. Something with clowns, monsters, Tim Burton-esque characters and jesters. Something that has a sort of “insane asylum” aesthetic to it. Something that is, simply put, very Harlequin-like. Anyone who has seen my Harlequin photos on the blog may have a vague idea of what i’m going for.
I also want to include my blogs tag line: “Fun for the whole asylum!”. I feel it represents what this blog is about rather well. Something like this perhaps, albeit far more well made. This simply took me 5 minutes on Microsoft Paint. Anyone who reads my blog knows i’m not exactly a visual artist.
Not very artistic, but i like the idea.
Basically, i’m calling out to the greater WordPress community and my own Inmates for help here. Help me find or create a new theme for WorldofHarley. Â Any advice would be graciously accepted, even if it is only information on how to go about creating a theme myself. Assist this inept clown, before he sheds a tear…
