Hello there inmates!

Well Cowes week is finally over and yet the heat has returned with a vengeance this following week. My poor bike and I suffered a bit today in particular. I went for a ride to a beach, hence the photos on my social media earlier today and unfortunately it was a bit much for the scooter. It overheated at one point and I had to leave it to cool down before I could continue riding. Aside from that, it has been rather pleasant though. The island just feels more alive than ever right now due to the volume of people about, though the plants are suffering something of a drought. I’m hoping for some light rain soon for their sake.

So, let’s talk about music eh? That’s the actual purpose of todays post after all. Did anybody see the clue for todays theme? I thought it was clever myself. It was a bit of a red herring actually. It was a spaceship, yet todays theme is nothing to do with space or science fiction. You need to look deeper. The specific spaceship in the clue has a name. Todays musical theme is that name. Get it?

I think that’s enough teasing eh? Today’s musical theme, based on that spaceships name, is serenity. We’re going for zen today you see. Calmness and feeling as chill as possible. In a world that is so hectic, full of strife and stress, it’s good to just sit in your room or bath and just listen to some chilling beats. Whether that be something folky, acoustic or “chillstep”. You can find relaxation in all kinds of music, but I’m going to focus today on music that is specifically ‘designed’ to be calming. It’s nice to just slow the pace down every now and then. It’s something I should probably do in my own life more often in fact. I’d wager that is the case for many of us in todays world. Let’s relax together eh?

Please join me as we delve into the musical minds of cool artists the world over!

Enya – Only Time

Oscuro – Too Far Gone

Kavinsky – Nightcall

Postmodern Jukebox ft. Puddles Pity Party – All The Small Things

The Dead South – In Hell I’ll Be In Good Company

And there we have it. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open I’m so chilled. I’m not bored or anything, it’s just nice to feel a sliver of meditative energy for a change. I tried to get a suitable variety of music genres here as you may be able to see. One of these artists I only discovered today in fact, I’ll not say which one though just for the giggles. I hope you check out all of these artists today as I feel they all deserve the attention. Please have yourself a relaxed evening on me eh?

So, let’s have some social media stuff eh? If you want to see my “super smart” poem and musical theme clues, as well my wacky adventures, you’ll need to join me over on my social media sites. The asylum has a page over on Facebook, an account on Instagram and a page over on Twitter as well. Also, if you really enjoy what I do here at the asylum, please consider supporting me over on the Ko-Fi page as well! Thank you for everything!

Until next week, have a very crazy day inmates!
