I once met a lady,
Beautiful in body,
But simply divine in intellect,
We found ourselves alone trading words,
Lessons and stories,
Fables and songs,
Learning and cavorting,
We make love with words over warm cider,
Each anecdote a kiss on the neck,
Syllables and verbs are lips and tongues,
Words are caresses,
Our conversations are as a moan in the ear,
Soft music plays somewhere out of sight,
The dark begins to lift,
We each are spent,
Our minds sweating,
And the night ends too soon,
Will we ever meet again?
Wow this is so beautiful. ❤
Thank you so much. I was inspired with this one. ☺️❤️

Yeep I figured, good to see a little more optimist tone in your writings! ☺
I’m certainly trying. ☺️
The Oldschool Harlequin
I could read this over and over again lol
“But simply divine in intellect”
Brilliant line 👏👏👏 Like a lot of your lines 🤣 You could write song lyrics 🤔
Aww, thank you very much. To be honest, I’ve never tried to do that.
The Oldschool Harlequin
Well, you should start lol Actually, one could just take your poems and add some music and beats to them and BOOM! got some songs XD I wished I could do that XD
Haha! I suppose that is possible theoretically. 😅
The Oldschool Harlequin
Also not theoretically! lol
